“From small seeds grow mighty trees.”
Our school is organised into four houses – Pine, Cedar, Maple, and Birch – which give every child a sense of belonging and pride. Throughout the year, pupils earn house points for effort, achievement, and for living out our school values. Every week, our Year 6 House Point Monitors carefully count the totals, which are then announced in our Shining Star Assembly. At the end of each half term, prizes are awarded to the winning house, celebrating their hard work and success. The houses also come together in friendly competition during key events such as Sports Day and other whole-school activities, building spirit, community, and a healthy sense of challenge. In addition, children often come together in their houses for different reasons, such as collaborative projects, special meetings, or social activities, fostering teamwork and friendship across all year groups.
“Pupil leaders building voice, faith, and community together.”
Our House and Vice Captains are chosen to represent their houses with pride, enthusiasm, and integrity. They act as role models by upholding our school values and demonstrating qualities such as honesty, responsibility, and respect. Working closely with staff and fellow pupils, they help to organise assemblies, lead house competitions, encourage participation, and ensure that every voice is heard. By taking on these responsibilities, our House and Vice Captains play a vital role in strengthening school spirit and building a supportive, inclusive community.
“Great role models don’t just inspire us to achieve more — they show us how to live with purpose and integrity every day.”
Each of our houses is represented by a House Ambassador — a well-known figure whose achievements and values inspire our pupils. These ambassadors serve as positive role models, reflecting qualities such as determination, kindness, creativity, and leadership. By looking to their example, pupils are encouraged to live out these values in school life, strengthening both their personal growth and their sense of belonging to their house.
