Our PTA

At Woodborough Wood’s Foundation C of E (Aided) School, we have a very active Parent’s Group which raises money to support many aspects of the school.

What do the Parents’ Group do?The Parents’ Group’s main aim is to raise funds for the school by organising fun events throughout the school year. These include Quiz Nights, Film Nights fun runs and the children’s disco, among many others.Over the last few years, the Parents Group have been able to purchase some fantastic new play equipment for the children as well as contribute towards the installation of a wonderful new garden area. The funds have also been put towards End of Year 6 Memento books, Christmas parties and books for the children, scooter parking racks and indoor climbing equipment. The Parents Group also exists to provide closer links between home and school, and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and children together socially in support of the school; working towards a common goal.Anyone is welcome to attend any of the meetings held throughout the year (normally one held each term). It’s a great way to share experiences and new ideas as this is vital to the ongoing success of the group. Even if you can’t attend a meeting, your help is much appreciated when coordinating an event, no matter how small your contribution. You can contact the Parents Group either via the school office (0115 9652136), via email (parentsgroup@woodsfoundation.notts.sch.uk), in the Playground, or you can Like us on Facebook and we will keep you up to date with forthcoming events and activities.
