Welcome to Class Five

As the children enter Year 5 at Woodborough Woods Primary School, we aim to ensure there is a balance between a stimulating and exciting curriculum whilst providing them with opportunities which prepare them ahead of their assessments within their final year. We place a greater emphasis on further developing independence and responsibility for their own learning and aim to encourage a more mature attitude through participation in initiatives such as DARE, British Values and PSHE.

In addition to all of the hard work, the children can look forward to our longer residential experience at PGL Caythorpe Court in Lincolnshire, alongside other exciting trips which complement their learning and provide them with lifelong memories, let alone the skills which they will develop along the way.

We are both very passionate about building positive relationships and creating inspiring, engaging learning environments where all the children’s achievements are celebrated.
