Birch House lead Assembly

Birch House and our brilliant House and Vice Captains, Edie and Henry, led the whole school in a joyful and uplifting worship session, proudly introducing their newly elected House Ambassador – Rosie Jones! 🎤🌟
The children entered to “You Need to Calm Down” by Taylor Swift, a song specially chosen by Edie, setting a thoughtful and empowering tone for the morning. 🎶💚
We are incredibly proud of Edie and Henry for their thoughtful presentation and creative poster. They shared why Rosie Jones, the British comedian, actress, and writer, is such an inspiring choice for House Ambassador:
🌟 Inspiring Role Model – Rosie shows that with determination and self-belief, we can overcome challenges and achieve great things.
💬 Strong Communicator – As a comedian and writer, Rosie connects with people through humour and honesty, making her an engaging and relatable leader.
♿ Champion of Inclusion – Rosie is a passionate advocate for disability awareness and diversity, helping us build a community where everyone feels seen and valued.
😄 Positive and Uplifting – Her energy, humour, and warmth bring people together, strengthening house spirit and encouraging kindness and confidence in others.
It was especially meaningful to celebrate this assembly on Cerebral Palsy Day, with the whole school proudly wearing green to raise awareness and show support. 💚
A heartfelt thank you to Oliver, who joined Edie and Henry at the end of the worship to share what life is like living with cerebral palsy. His courage, honesty, and positivity were truly inspiring. Oliver also took a moment to thank everyone for joining in the celebration – and kindly made sure that every child had a green sticker to wear, helping to mark this special day together.
A huge well done to Birch House for delivering such a powerful, inclusive, and heartwarming assembly! 👏💚♿

Maple House lead Assembly

Our Maple House Captain and Vice Captain led the whole school in a wonderful worship session, proudly introducing our newly elected House Ambassador – Steve Irwin! 🐊🌿
The children entered to “Roar” by Katy Perry and set the tone with some super singing along – a fantastic, energetic start to the morning! 🎶🦁
We are incredibly proud of Isaac and Holiday for their thoughtful presentation and informative poster. They shared why Steve Irwin, famously known as “The Crocodile Hunter,” is such an inspiring choice:
💚 Passionate about Nature – Steve’s deep love for animals teaches us to be curious, respectful, and caring toward the natural world.
💪 Fearless and Brave – His bold interactions with wildlife remind us to be courageous and face challenges with confidence.
🌍 Environmental Advocate – Steve dedicated his life to protecting endangered species and spreading awareness about conservation.
😄 Energetic and Positive – His enthusiasm and joyful spirit inspire us to engage passionately with the things we care about.
A huge well done to Maple House for leading such a meaningful and inspiring assembly!

International Charity Day

We were also absolutely amazed by the generosity shown on Friday, as we came together to celebrate International Day of Charity. The quantity and quality of food donated was truly heartwarming.
This afternoon, Mrs. Rankin accompanied our four House Captains to deliver the donations to the Food Bank at St. Wilfrid’s Church in Calverton, which works in partnership with The Trussell Trust. While there, they had the opportunity to meet members of the local community, including some who benefit directly from the food bank.
Everyone was incredibly grateful for your kind and thoughtful donations. Thank you for making a real difference!
